David M. Taghioff is the Chief Executive Officer of Library Pictures International (Library), a Los Angeles-based global content financier. Under his leadership, Library focuses on supporting top-tier storytellers from around the world and has become a premier independent film financier since its 2019 investment partnership with Legendary Entertainment.
The company has co-financed and executive produced such critically acclaimed films as EMILIA PÉREZ, I’M STILL HERE, and EDEN. Most recently, Library’s latest film, FJORD, directed by Cristian Mungiu and starring Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve, has been selected to premiere in Official Competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2026. EMILIA PÉREZ premiered at Cannes, where it won the Jury Prize and Best Actress Award, presented to the ensemble, and went on to receive 13 Academy Award nominations—the most ever for a non-English language film—winning for Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Song. It also earned four Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and two BAFTAs, including Best Film Not in the English Language. I’M STILL HERE premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where it received the Best Screenplay Award, and later earned three Academy Award nominations, winning Best International Feature Film, as well as two Golden Globe nominations, including a win for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama.
Prior to Library, Taghioff served as Co-Head of Global Client Strategy at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he focused on international strategy and cross-border film and television opportunities, including the development of local-language film slates for clients such as Blumhouse Productions. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Octagon and William Morris Agency, overseeing strategy, operations, business affairs, and international expansion.
Taghioff holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University. He is a member of the California State Bar.
