Jacob Fain is the Executive Vice President and Head of A&R at Elektra Records, one of the major record companies within Warner Music Group. In this role, Fain oversees all A&R activities and related vertices within the company. Fain joined Warner Music Group in 2020 and since joining the company has signed artists such as Bailey Zimmerman, Masked Wolf and pop star Omar Rudberg. Prior to WMG, Fain was the Senior Vice President and Head of Data / Analytics at Sony Music Publishing, where he served for 13 years. In this role, Fain signed such artists as The Chainsmokers, Leon Bridges, Of Monsters and Men, Russ as well as worked with some of the company’s top songwriters and producers. In this position, Fain also oversaw the development of the company’s first analytics platform. Prior to Sony Music Publishing, Fain worked at both Republic Records and RCA Records.
In addition to his work in the music industry, Fain has been acknowledged by both Billboard and Variety magazines as a member of the inaugural Billboard Pride list of industry shaping LGBTQ+ leaders, Billboard’s top 30 executives under 30, Billboard’s top 40 executives under 40, and a member of the Variety Hitmaker list in 2021 & 2023.
