JOSH BERMAN is an award-winning writer, producer, show runner and creator. Through his production company, OSPREY PRODUCTIONS, Josh recently completed his fifth overall deal at Sony, spanning over 15 years. Josh began his professional writing career on the first season of CSI where he quickly worked his way up to Executive Producer, which led to his first overall deal at 20th. He may be best known for creating and show running the series DROP DEAD DIVA. Drop Dead Diva, which ran for 6 seasons, has been streamed over a billion times worldwide and is now being adapted in multiple countries and territories, including China, Egypt, South Korea, Ukraine and Latin America. Under his multiple overall deals, Josh has set up TV projects at all four major broadcast networks as well as most cable and streaming services. Additional series created, executive Produced or showrun by Josh include: THE GORDITA CHRONICLES, MOB DOCTOR, VANISHED, MURDER FLIP HOUSE, NOTORIOUS and DAYTIME DIVAS, among others. He also produced and ran the writers room for multiple seasons on Bones and The Blacklist.

Josh is an avid procurer and curator of IP, signing an innovative and groundbreaking first look deals with both Turner Books and Sourcebook. These first look deals give Josh, via Osprey, a first look at most of the books in the publishers’ libraries as well as upcoming releases. Through his first look, he has set up projects at multiple broadcast and streaming networks.

Josh has been nominated for an Emmy as well as winning a Golden Globe and multiple Peoples Choice and GLAAD awards. Josh also served a three-year term as a Delegate on the Board of the Producers Council of the Producer Guild of America (PGA). Josh graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Public Policy. He then graduated from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business with an M.B.A. and School of Law with a J.D. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Australia and received an M.A in History from the University of Sydney.
