Mr. Jacobson is a 20-year veteran of the music business and former CEO of Geffen Records. He previously served as Executive Vice President of A&R at Interscope Records, where he A&R’ed and signed artists including The Black Eyed Peas, LMFAO, and Avicii, and later led Geffen through a culturally and commercially impactful period marked by the signing of artists such as YUNGBLUD, Mura Masa, and DJ Snake, as well as Darkroom Records, home to Billie Eilish. A Berklee College of Music alumnus, he began his career as an international publicist at Interscope, touring globally with Eminem, 50 Cent, and The Black Eyed Peas, while simultaneously managing artists and producers including will.i.am, Robin Thicke, and Jeff Bhasker under the mentorship of Jimmy Iovine, with whom he also collaborated on the development of Beats by Dre. He is the founder of Hallwood, a full-service management company and record label, and Hallwood Media Ventures, through which he recently led the latest financing round for Suno, a leading AI-driven music creation platform. Mr. Jacobson maintains close working relationships with senior leaders across Spotify, YouTube, Apple, and Amazon, and serves on the boards of JAS Aspen, Creative Community for Peace, and the Young Presidents’ Organization (Los Angeles Chapter).
